Goowy aggregated many things, but is currently in a transitional period after transitioning to exclusively AOL Mail.  Updates to come soon.

What Goowy says about themselves:

Goowy Update (7/14/2008):

We are no longer accepting registrations for the goowy webtop client. If you have an existing account you will still be able to log in and use the service however we intend to migrate our goowy webtop to the AOL webmail client. Please review our blog post for more details. Thanks for your understanding and support.

About Us
goowy media was started in mid 2004 in San Diego, California. It was founded by 4 friends (Alex, Gary, Jeremy and Sashi) who have worked and played together for the last 10 years. Prior to goowy we were on the founding team of two other Internet start-ups in the Internet communication space. One was very successful (sold to a public company) and the other was a familiar Dot Com story - meteoric rise and a slow fall which ended for us in 2004.

After taking some time off and investing in a few restaurants (that’s a story best told over sake), we decided to get back to what we knew best - Internet communication software (email, chat, instant messaging, etc.). This time we decided that any idea would have to pass through 4 filters before we considered developing it - 1) FUN! 2) Leverage what we know 3) Create a unique experience 4) Friends and family got it without giving us the “deer in headlights” look.

Believe us, for an idea to make it through all of that is no small feat. But, eventually after enough research, debate and beer, we came up with something we all really liked - making web mail effective and fun! After a year of development we launched the Beta version of goowy mail in March of 2005. Since then we have evolved goowy into more than web mail and plan to continue to develop a set of community applications that allow you to express yourself in the best way possible.

Our members have made all of this possible with their feedback and support. Stay tuned and keep telling us how we can make goowy better! Thanks for your help!

We want to give special thanks to Paul Davey, an amazing graphic artist whose icons you get to enjoy in goowy. We also want to thank the team at elipse networks, without whom the new website and logo would not have been as groovy.
